Dear Friends,
We hope this message finds you well. We are thrilled to invite you to our NEW Monthly Screening Spotlight from our Cinema Feast Collection.
This feels like a secial moment to open the door. For years, we’ve shared queer cinema in quiet, often undisclosed spaces, from queer feminist community centres across Africa to museums, universities, and festivals in Canada, Europe, and the Global South.
For the first time, we’re opening the door a little wider. We’re inviting the public to a special, time-limited online screening of the very first film in our Map Your Love anthology.
For three days only, you can watch Ouvrez-moi la porte (Open Up!), available online for the first time, in English & with English subtitles. From December 19–21, 2025, the film will be available to watch and on Monday, December 22 at 11:00 AM (EST), we’ll gather again for a live online conversation with some of the co-creators behind the film. This is a rare chance to hear how this work was made, how it has traveled, and what it continues to open up.
This event is Pay What You Can ($0–$20). Your contribution directly supports queer artists, filmmakers, and cultural workers facing precarity, censorship, displacement, and helps keep this archive alive and growing. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you’re able, we kindly suggest a $20 donation. Ticket registration is required to access the film and the live Q&A. Guests will join using pseudonyms and avatars to protect their identities. Please keep all access details confidential. No recording, screenshots, or redistribution.
By registering, you’re getting a sneak peek into the Cinema Feast Collection, a living, growing archive of queer films curated by 75 SHOTS. The collection amplifies marginalized voices by giving access to queer art films, especially for people living in places where such work is censored, criminalized, or impossible to see.
This is a rare opportunity to connect directly with the artists behind the work and to witness an intimate meditation on resilience, self-expression, and the pursuit of freedom.
Thank you for showing up with care. Your presence makes us stronger.
Warmly,
The 75 SHOTS Pocket Cinema Family
